Simplifying

I've been feeling rather overwhelmed with life of late. And with end of year festivals and birthdays coming up, I know it's only going to get more hectic.

So I'm trying to simplify my life. I've reneged on some earlier commitments. I've given up some treasured regular catch ups because, as much as I love them, I'm finding it hard to find the time. And I'm trying to reduce the amount of time I spend trawling the internet.....

That means I'll be taking a blogging break for a while. Not sure how long. Maybe a week. Maybe a few months. I don't know. I just know that as much as I've loved blogging and all the wonderful baggage that has come with it, I need to offload a little (for now). I need to step back and breathe.

Tomorrow is the 2 year anniversary of this blog and I think it's a fitting time to take some time for reflection.

I'll probably still pop in occasionally to visit your blogs and flickr accounts. I can't totally resist all your creative goodness. I look forward to catching up with you all on the 'other side'.

I'll leave you all now with some photos of the divine little quilt I received from Louise as part of the Down Under Doll Quilt Swap. Thank you Louise for such a thoughtful and stunning piece. And thank you Kate for organising it and including me in the quilty mix.

See you all soon.

Andi x

Thanks for your contributions to blogland. They have been so refreshing. If it's time to withdraw and renew for a while, so be it. All the best.

I know exactly what you mean about this time of year being over-whelming. All the festivals come at completely the wrong time...first juggled the school holidays, then getting them all back and if that wasn't hard enough, full on tsimmus and other food making! Enjoy your blogging break, but come back soon...we'll miss you ;-) In the meantime enjoy your little quilt, how divine is that? xx

That miss Louise is a clever little custard - as are you!

I hope you find some balance and enjoy your break.
Thanks for your advice and your wonderful help on THE quilt.
Hopefully we'll bump into each other around the traps or at swimming or maybe even another danish and a cup of tea one day soon.
I'll miss your colours.
Enjoy the space that the break will bring.

Everyone needs a little time out now and then and as much fun as the blog world is it can also take over a bit. So glad you like the quilt - it was a real pleasure making it for you. And now I know you live so close I'll be looking out for you. Maybe see you in the shop now and then too! Lxx

Hello! This quilt is lovely! I love grey with pink, orange etc. I enjoy always visiting you - hope you'll be back soon! But have a brake as much as you need - it's sure sometimes it's needed because this blogging takes quite much time and thoughts as nice it is...
Best wishes Teje
