Winners
A couple of weeks ago we sent out a newsletter to everyone who has signed up to YouPatch. We offered a chance to win a free YouPatch pattern to anyone willing to complete our survey. Many of you did complete the survey and we really appreciate all the wonderful and useful feedback we have received. :-)
We also sent a separate survey to anyone who has purchased a YouPatch pattern offering those people a second chance to win.
Using my trusty random number generator (my 8-year old daughter Ella picked the number '7'), the 2 winners were the 7th responders to each survey.
Congratulations Elsa and Cindy. I have emailed you both with details!!! :-)
And because I can't have a pictureless post, here is a pic of some gorgeous Yuwa fabric that I bought today at Amitie. It will be the backing fabric for a secret squirrel project I'm working on.

A post of belated 'thank you's
I have been so very lucky in recent weeks and have neglected to share my luck in this forum.
So here are some of (but not all of) the lovely items I have received of late ........
Last year I won a competition over at Wendy's. There were 2 items on offer and I won the Christmas bag.
A couple of months later, Wendy was ready to send me my prize when she realised that, being a Jewish sort of a person, I might not actually want a Christmassy sort of a bag so .... knowing I am collecting scraps for a scrappy quilt .... she thoughtfully send me a selection of gorgeous scraps instead. Including lots of lovely Wonderland fabric which I adore.
Thanks so much Wendy.
More recently, I won some more scrappy pieces over at Sheridan's place.
Yes, those ARE Heather Ross camper-vans and gnomes you can see in that photo.
Thank you so much Sheridan. These will also make a stunning addition to my new quilt.
And lastly (for today), Tanya gave me one of her highly coveted 'T is for towel' tea towels in exchange for a book that I KNEW had to belong on her bookshelf.
She also included this extra tea towel which I absolutely adore.
Thanks Tanya. How good is the blogosphere!!!!
Well, that's all for now although I have plenty more treats to show you in the coming days.
Until then ....

Book crazy ... and a fabric win!!
I've been a bit obsessed with book buying of late.
In addition to these books already blogged, I have purchased this heavenly stack of bedside reading:

They are:
'Color Your Cloth' by the amazing Malka Dubrawsky. So far, I am loving this book. Full of amazing eye candy and seemingly (because I haven't tried them yet) very easy to follow instructions.

'Handmade Home' by the one and only Soule Mama. Great inspiration for thrifting, creating and living a life inspired by all the best things about past crafty generations.

'Intuitive Color and Design' by Jean Wells. This is a wonderful book about letting go of what you thought you 'ought to do' with quilting and discovering new ways to create great works of art.
Kaffe's new book 'Quilt Romance'. I wasn't going to buy this at first but was convinced by Rita's review that it was a worthwhile purchase. And she was right ... as usual.

And lastly, but by no means leastly, 'The Well Dressed Home' by Annette Tatum. This lovely book talks to the fashionista in all of us and helps put together an interior design aesthetic based on our personal fashion sense. I am so definitely a 'bohemian'.

And to top off an excellent week, I won a 'Kelani Creative Customer' competition.
Here's what I bought with my winnings ....
I decided to buy some small pieces of a few fabrics that caught my eye.
From L-R:
Happy stitching.
