WIP Wednesday

I've made some more progress on this quilt

These are all individual blocks (not made using an online mosaic maker).

I have 6 more blocks to finish making the quilt square.

Then I'm thinking about borders. Not sure.

But I DO know that I'm loving it so far.

I had a lovely day today hanging out with my mate Clair. We ate. We shopped. I stitched (Clair left her stitching project at home ... oops). And we had a lovely catch up.

How was your Wednesday?

Lovely crafting with lovely people

One of my favourite ways to spend my time.

This week I had the chance to catch up with the lovely Cathy at my place for a day of fabric chat, eating and stitching. We made a bit of a mess ...

quilts and stuff on couch

Played with quilts ...

quilts on chair

And took a silly DIY photo ...

Me and Cathy

Cathy brought along a very old WIP that she is now madly trying to finish ...

Cathy's WIP

And a newer one too ...

Cathy's other WIP

I am so in awe of this woman's talent. Very pleased to be able to call her a friend.

During our crafting session, I managed to finish up a WIP of my own. I'll save that for another post but here's a sneaky peak ...

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Where have I been?

Not to London to visit the Queen, I'm afraid!!

We've been struck down by the dreaded lurgy at chez Patch Andi in recent weeks.
Not much energy for blogging.

What's a girl to do under such circumstances?

Online shopping of course!!

Here's some of my recent loot ...

(Fingers are for scale)

Apologies for not including all the relevant links but I just don't have the energy today.
But all this goodness was purchased from this delightful store.

I have also been doing some book buying damage but I'll save that for another post.
(I also have some more fabric due to arrive next week. I HAVE been naughty!!!)

And just to prove my hands haven't been completely idle of late, here's a sneak peek at a secret project I've nearly completed.

All will be revealed once this is safely with it's new owner!

Back soon.

A little help please

My values quilt has moved from my design floor to being a pieced top ....hanging on my clothes line.

Inspired by this gorgeous quilt top, I have gone for an asymmetrical design.

My question to you guys is ..... should I keep adding to make it bigger?

It is currently 55 inches squared which makes for a smallish couch quilt or a perfectly sized wall hanging.
But I have plenty of HSTs left over to make it bigger for a more generous couch quilt or even a quilt for our bed.

What would you do? Would you keep adding? Would you keep the asymmetry?

With lots of pins ...

Perfect for a little girl.
Off to start quilting.

One job down. Many more to go!

Today, I worked on the MAMMOTH task of tidying up my sewing/work space.

Even though I would love it to be prettier with white furniture and matching everything, its pretty great to have ANY space for such indulgences.

It feels great to be able to see the floor again.

Also, here is something I've been working on lately ....

I plan to finish it off this week at Perle 8s. Once it's finished, I'll tell you what it is.

My WIP pile is slowly diminishing. Hooray!!

Have a great week of stitching and living life.

Andi :-)
