Mini Makeover

I bought some new shelves for my sewing room (that used to look like this).

I like the cleaner, whiter look.

I still have the old shelves that I will (one of these days) paint white too.

Have a great week.

Quilt Along progress report.

Here's my finished quilt top for the Old Red Barn Company's quilt along.

It measures 72 inches squared.

Next week ...... basting and quilting.

I've decided to hand quilt it so it may take me a little longer than a week.

It's always nice to have some hand stitching on the go.
Don't you think?

Quilt for Baby Tali

Remember this?
Well, a girl finally arrived by the name of Tali Hannah Barnett.

This is her new quilt.

It is my first attempt at straight line quilting (and it is by no means perfect) but I'm rather pleased with the overall result.

The back is a sweet pink gingham.

All ready for delivery.

I won!!! I won!!!

You may have noticed all the giveaways happening in honour of the launch of Sewn (a new adventure for the lovely Sarah Fielke).

Well, I won a giveaway from the lovely Sarah herself.

Fat quaters of all of these ......

They are the 'Feathers' selection from the new Red Letter Day fabric collection by Lizzy House.

Lucky me!!!!

Hope you are having a happy Monday too.

Don't look Dan!!!!

In six weeks my beloved and I will be married.
I discovered a wonderful craftswoman via the Ravenhill blog.

I contacted her hoping she would take a commission and make my wedding veil.

I couldn't be more excited. Look what she made!!!!!
