Oh Denyse .... how I love you!!!

And your gorgeous fabrics!!!

Quilt top on line

I finished up this quilt top recently and I absolutely love it!!

Not sure I will ever make another quilt with so many 2 inch (finished) squares but I'm so glad I did this one with my gorgeous Denyse Schmidt fabric collection.

Every Flea Market Fancy fabric is featured as well as some of the newest collection from Joann's / Spotlight. Also, because I needed to put in some more red, I added one print from the Katie Jump Rope line (the Red Daisies).

I started hand quilting this on Saturday and I'm loving the process so much I'm already half way. No doubt by this time next week (probably sooner) I'll be blogging about a finished quilt.

Can't wait to pop it on the bed.

Love your quilt top, Andi - it just glows. I wish I had the courage to cut into my small stash of FMF. Some fabric takes a lot of courage to cut into...

I am in awe, this is one of those quilts I can stare @ for hours. Did you know where you were going with this quilt from the start or did you have a bunch of 2" squares and decided to see where they would take you? I have been hoarding my FMF for just the right project and hoping to stretch it as far as it will go. She is a beauty!

wow wow wow! This is an amazing quilt and I'm always wondering what to do with my stash of this...I however would lose my mind sewing that many little squares together.

It's so cool!
I can't believe you have already hand quilted half of it.

2" squares is a major effort. It was totally worth it though. The colours are brilliant.

It looks amazing! Did you piece all the squares individually or strip piece them?

That is so bright and beautiful, it makes it really worth it doesn't it when you use fabrics you love!

wow, it's absolutely stunning! I just came across it on Pinterest and pinned it again. I've made a few scrap quilts, but I can't figure out how you would piece something like this. What's the trick? Strip piecing? (which I have never done, only heard about). I'd love to plow through my scraps and make such a pretty quilt.
