Winners all 'round

Yesterday I received a lovely parcel from Kate after I won her giveaway over at Fox's Lane.
It's ironic because Kate and I grew up together, grew apart in recent years and have reconnected via our craft blogs.

Here's what I received:

  • A copy of her mum's new book
  • A gorgeous crocheted (by Kate) flower brooch (that I have had to fight Ella for)
  • T-shirts for each of the kids screen printed by Kate
  • A cup cake tote bag for treasures

Here I am enjoying my brooch in the lovely Melbourne sunshine (welcome back Spring!!)

And here are some terrible shots of my kids in their t-shirts:

Ella is TOTALLY channelling Joe Cocker.

Separated at birth? Maybe!

In other news, I have finally finished the tote bag promised for my giveaway winner, blogless Jane. Jane asked for pinks and aquas but expressed a dislike for floral prints so I have gone for more geometric looking fabrics.

Fabrics are: Anna Maria Horner's Good Folks collection; Cathedral in Peony and Amy Butler's Love collection; Sunspots in Turquoise.

I hope she likes it. But I could easily be tempted to hang on to it myself. (Only joking Jane)

Enjoy the sunshine.

Andi :-)

I'm thrilled you liked all your bits and pieces and that they fit. You look gorgoeus in that photo, I was looking at it with Meg over my shoulder and we were both 'wow'ing. those kid shots are too funny. Mine don't know how to pose either.
Now I just hope you enjoy the book. XX

There's no way on this earth I am clicking over to Joe Cocker. Regardless, you've put that damned hat song in my head. We'll be having words if it's still there at 4am...

By linking to my server (i.e., the Joe Cocker picture) you're using my bandwidth without permission. Instead, download the picture and upload it your own server space. That is, spend your own resources, not mine. I'm not going to screw with it -- or use the more colorful language I tend to use in these situations -- because the whole thing is attached to a picture of a little girl. But, moving forward, please respect the work of others and DIY.

Hi Andi, I just came across your blog when I saw Kate's lovely artwork on a thunbnail on another blog! I thought it looked like Indi's owl and yep, it was! Your kids look gorgeous in their new tshirts and you look pretty good too, sporting your Foxs Lane brooch. Lucky you!! xo

Dear Fusion 45.
Thankyou for alerting me to the error of linking to your image rather than uploading it myself.
As soon as I was made aware and had access to the computer, I have rectified the situation.
A quiet and polite email would have been just as effective. (If you had left me your email, I would have sent one to you!)
Please try not to be so grumpy. Maybe you could take up knitting as a way of relaxing!!!
