My first re-fashion!!

I bought a cute skirt for Ella at the Op Shop but she refused to wear it because it was "too long".
(She is quite a headstrong little fashionista ... and a red-head too!!!)

So I shortened it and added a little ric rac for trim.

Then I took a flower from the off-cut piece and appliqued it to a white t-shirt she also refuses to wear because it is "too plain".

... and voila!!

Let's hope she'll wear it this time!!

Andi :-)

EDIT: We're home and she loves it! Phew!!!

I love how you have given the little skirt and t-shirt a make-over. It looks fabulous. Let's hope this little girl agrees, they have an innate knowledge of all things pink and glitzy these days!

I bet it looks much better after a revamp too! I love it and I'm sure it will go down well. Love the fabric and the flower on the t-shirt is fab.

Andi I have had my 4 year old looking over my shoulder as I read this and she said, "Mummy I want you to get some fabric like that and then make it into a skirt like that for me ok? And what's that 'grissly' bit? I want that too." She was referring to the ric rac ;) Now, if i was to actually make this skirt I can assure you she would refuse to wear it for at least a few months until she felt the pressure was off!

Very cute, well done!

Very clever and cute. I hope she wears it now. Just came across this idea and it made me think of you re-fashion, I though you might like a look too. http://grosgrainfabulous.blogspot.com/2009/08/teecycle-dress-tutorial-and-giveaway.html
