Jake's transportation quilt

This one has been a while coming. (See the end of this post for this quilt's beginnings).

Lots of hand quilting has slowed me down somewhat.

But a long weekend away with extended family has given me some catchup quilting time.

This is the whole front ...

... and the pieced back ....

Hope you all had a great long weekend with friends and family (and a little bit of chocolate indulgence)

Andi :-)

Remember me talking about having to make 'manly' quilts all the time.

He'll love it and treasure it for years. Just like my boys.

I'm making a strip quilt at the moment with heather bailey's far far away but I think I'll machine stitch as I need it done by the end of may and I know what I'm like with my hand quilting!!!!

love the couch cushions but don't show hubby because I still owe him covered foam pads for some newly restored chairs he spent a whole weekend on.....!
