Spoilt rotten

What a glorious day Melbourne put on today ...

A sky worthy of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
"Bueller ..... Bueller ...."

And how did I spend it? Hanging out with this awesome crafty chick.

I have long admired Cathy's beautiful work and have been lucky enough to meet up with her on a few occasions. Today, I drove out to her home right near the beach and spent the day crafting, chatting and sharing a bit of show and tell.

Cathy helped me baste a quilt using clamps instead of tape which worked a treat. (Note to self: Must pop down to the hardware store this week).

She even made me a gorgeous lunch.

And I even got to see all of these beauties (and more) in the flesh ...

You can find more of Cathy's gorgeous creations on her blog and her flickr stream.
Enjoy ... but be careful not to damage your keyboard with all the drooling  ;-)

And on my way out, I stopped to photograph some flowers in her stunning garden

Thank you again Cathy for a gorgeous day.

Wow! What a fun day! I want to be Cathy's friend ;) So in the picture it looks like the quilt is not fitting perfectly on the top of the table...hanging over the sides. Do you clamp beginning in the middle and then pin baste...reposition the quilt - clamp and pin? She has some amazing quilts!

Oh my! We should all have friends who feed us and then inspire us. Her quilts are B.E.A. Utiful! And nice Ferris reference. Classic.

That sounds like the perfect day, and you mentioned one of my favourite movies. Those days go by all too quickly.
